The whispering voice said, "He's a liar" then repeated it. The caller I.D. listed, Unknown Caller. Linda had no idea what this all meant. Could this be a call from the dead? She was upset and wanted to know. My answer is flatly, NO. History has shown that people have received strange calls and some of those calls seem to have come from someone who has crossed over. These unknown "Dead" calls always seem to have a background of static or other odd sounding noises. Linda's call was clear and it also came across as someone trying to be scary.
"Dead" calls are very rare, but a creep calling someone to scare the "Bejesus" out of them is unfortunately common. A wise parapsychologist, professor Bill Roll once said at one of his lectures, "before you jump to a paranormal cause of an incident, always try to eliminate the obvious natural causes. When you've exhausted the natural causes, then you can begin you're investigating the paranormal."
Since that unfortunate call, Linda has not gotten another "creepy" call. Maybe this prankster called the wrong number the first time and got it right the second time.
