When Psychics are stuck with tremendous sadness

Show me a psychic and I’ll show you a person who can transform from a normal easy-going demeanor into a high depression state in a second. To illustrate this point, I’ll give you my personal example. One day as I entered a home built in the late 1700s, as I walked through the first floor, I psychically was getting images of a grieving family sitting in the parlor, in front of a small casket with a young boy in it. Through her tears I heard the mother calling out his name, Nathan.
I was devastated. I felt their grief. I stood in this room viewing this young boy from the 1800s and as usual couldn’t say a single word of comfort to this grieving family. This whole episode was taking place at the home and not at the usual Funeral Home as we know today.
Throughout the late 18th, 19th and into the early 20th century, home viewing of the deceased was the norm. When photography came about, it was also routine for the family to take photos of the deceased, as was staging the dead as if they were alive and taking a photo of the family with the deceased. Often, they would take a lock of hair of the one who passed and place it inside lockets. These pieces are known as “mourning jewelry.”
Postmortem photos as I mentioned, are fairly common. If you find a photo album from the Victorian era, I’m sure there is a good chance you’ll find these unusual photos mixed in with the others.
I came across the photo shown. The photo was taken in East Newark by a photographer from a Newark studio. The name of the departed and the year it was taken was blurred over time. Guessing from the smudge on the back of the photo, the last name was probably O’Reilly and John Street.

It is so eerie when that happens. Sometimes, when I'm driving around town, if I pass an empty house or one that is on the market, I will psychically "tune in" to the structure. Frequently I will get a sense of the history of the house, whether the people who lived there were happy, sad, a general feeling of what it was like living there, etc. The impressions I get I can't put into words, but there is a palpable energy emanating from these places.
